First Set of Ontario Cup Quarter-Finals This Weekend
VAUGHAN, July 3, 2013 – The Ontario Cup is gearing up for its busiest weekend of the summer, as 10 divisions are in action in both Tournament Round and Single-Game Knockout play. Headlining the weekend is the Under 18 and Under 21 divisions with the Quarter-Final Round.
In the Under 18 Divisions, both the male and female Under 17 Ontario Cup champions are still in the mix. On the Boy’s side, the Erin Mills Eagles will make another push for the Finals as they take on Brampton East Thunder. On the Girl’s side, the Richmond Hill Raiders will also look to get back to the Finals as they are matched up against Ajax FC 95 Girls Red.
The Quarter-Final Round games scheduled for Saturday, July 6 are listed below:

Third Round games are also being played this weekend in the Under 15 Boys Tier 2 and Under 17 Boys Tier 2 Divisions, as well as the Men’s and Women’s Divisions.
On the Men’s side, the division is wide open with the defending champion A.E.K. London squad bowing out two weeks ago in the Second Round. However, with five Ontario Soccer League provincial level teams still alive, the competition is sure to heat up as we move into the later rounds. The five OSL teams still standing are Scarborough Celtic, Scarborough Ulster Thistle, Caledon FC, Scarborough G.S. United, and PCC Mississauga.
On the Women’s side, this weekend marks the first set of games to be played for this division. The defending champion North London Galaxy will look to make another push for the Finals as it takes on Windsor Hellenic.
